Breaking Radio Silence

I meant to post before now, but life hasn’t been fun.

I thought I was going to have a large but manageable project at work (someone else’s project, actually) where I would be needed for some very serious work for most of January, and then life would settle down and I’d get back to writing.

The Project From Hell™ lasted into mid-February, leaving me with multiple weeks in a row of 60+ hours per week. In truth, it’s still dragging on a bit, but I’m no longer primary.

Then, the day that wrapped up, I cam down with the flu, swiftly followed by bronchitis, and I was sick as a dog for two weeks. Last week I was back in the office, coughing and hacking up lovely substances in a rainbow of colors, but at least I was on the mend.

So, story writing and posting has been on the back burner. I have started a new story, set in the Shire and the fourth in the Shire Series tales of Bilbo and Frodo, and I’ve been reworking some of my older material. I’m running into a bit of a problem trying to figure out how to create a single character list that will span all of the Shire stuff. If you thought there were a lot of people in Gondor…

My goal was to start posting my Shire stuff this month, but I’m still too tired and too behind on most things to begin that. Maybe April. In the meantime, thank you for your patience as I gather my health and wits.
